Stress Management
Although we have all talked about stress management, it isn't often clear what stress management really is. Many individuals consider stress to be an event that happens to them - like an injury or a job promotion. Other individuals may think that stress is something that happens to their bodies and minds in response to some event (e.g. their heart starts pounding, they bite their nails, etc). While stress may involve events and our own responses to them, these aren't the most critical factors. It's our thoughts about situations that are the most important factors.
Stress management tools are designed to assist in educating people about various strategies for managing stress.
