Cigar Smoking Handouts and Fact Sheets

Studies estimate that smoking a cigar is equivalent to smoking 2 1/2 cigarettes. The increase in cigar use, especially among women and teens, has been mistakenly accompanied by the idea that smoking cigars isn't as dangerous to your health as smoking cigarettes. After all, they say, cigar smokers do not inhale. Thus they get cancers in their mouth and their neck, and not in their lungs.
